DNA Translation (genes to proteins)

DNA contains is information about your traits that is expressed in proteins. As you know, proteins are the functional molecules of the cell. They function as enzymes, storage, transport, structural and in communication. When the DNA wants to express one of its genes, it makes a copy of that gene called the mRNA. It is the mRNA that carries the genetic information from the nucleus to the ribosome, where it is translated or converted into an amino acid sequence/protein.
