The Respiratory System

The purpose of the respiratory system is to supply the blood with oxygen so that the blood can deliver the oxygen to all of the cells in the body and provide an exit path for carbon dioxide to leave the body. As you know, oxygen is required in a cellular process called respiration. This process converts glucose into a form of energy that can be used by the cell called ATP.
